Firefish's Demise... Death by Pistol?

Okay my newer Firefish I think went into a wrong cave!

The cave was occupied by my Pistol Shrimp who already has friend in the Goby...

Things didn't work out so good. Seen my peppermint snacking on his remains. At least this is all I can think why he died. I heard a lot of snapping over the past 24hrs prior to seeing him dead.

What fish to take his place...

True Percula (Amphiprion percula)
Six Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia)
Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica) DEAD
Steinitz' Prawn Goby (Amblyeleotris steinitzi)

Pistol Shrimp
Peppermint shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni)
Sally Lightfoot Crab
5-8 Blue hermits
Various snails
