Need help with learning how to set up a refugium

I am awaiting my new tank and want to set up a refuguim along with my tank. The only problem is I know nothing about them. What is a good source to learn how to set one up correctly and what to put in it? My sump is a 150 gal Rubbermaid how would you connect the two?

One comment - go for chaeto, not calerpa - calerpa can go sexual and release all of the nutrients it had been absorbing. Also, once you get it up and running, throw away a little bunch of the chaeto , this nutrient export will encourage more chaeto to grow.

I have one crab, a big one I'm afraid to put in my reef or fish only tank. Aside from that, nothing. I just let it go it's own way. If i could find a home for the crab, I'm considering some seahorses at some point.

I have heard 10x per hour - so a 20 gallon, 200 per hour. If you will keep seahorses or anything, I'd cut it back a bit.
