Zooanthids shrivelled up

Over the last 2 weeks my Zoo rock has really shrivelled up. It looks like the oter tentacles have shrivelled away. They are not closed but look very poorly.

Do you think its the yellow leather I have near them or maybe using ozone (turned off now)?

Thanks guys

Do you add Strontium? That will stunt or wipe out Zoas. They do not like Strontium.

Its a likely culpret that is easily overlooked. Do water changes if you used Sr. or move the Zoas to another tank that has no Sr. added.

Have you noticed any nudibranches near or on the colony?

I dont dose strontium. And have not seen any nudibrancs, but will have a closer look tonight. They look really sick. All my others corals are fine though.

Is there any type of film on the colony, like a fungus infection?

No.

They have got no better. They have really shrivelled up now, they almsot look dead. they have no colour, they are black now. They where doing so well too. They had spread to a nearby rock. But even those ones look bad.

There is a yellow toadstool next to them, which keeps retracting for days sometimes weeks. I know leathers do this alot, but this one is doing it loads latley. I think its been 8/9 days and its still not expanded. All other corals are doing great.

I'm going to do a waterchange at the weekend. See what happens...
