I bought my CSS from Drs. Foster & Smith. I actually paid for a 125, but they shipped me a 220. So, what did I do? I made it fit in my sump of course! Definitely an awesome skimmer!

I built this system over 2.5 years ago and just wasn't pleased with the outcome. So, this time around I'm improving things that I did poorly (aka "cheap") last time. |

Salty Brother :
No mods. just opened the box, put it together (minimal assembly) and BAM! I have never used a skimmer like i said and so i had no idea what i was doing, and after the first day or two it was producing a nice... well it's a Really Nasty froth at the top! Early last week I asked nearly the same question in the lighting and filtration forum, here is a link to the thread so you can see the response I got http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...hreadid=822847 Ohh and for the record, mine is mounted on the side of my 30 gal refugium which is sitting on a 5' tall stand in my room because it is above my 29 gal reef tank. So yea , my skimmer is out in the open and and it looks mighty sweet ![]() |

Inconsistant peformance...over all OK.
The knob sucks for adjustment. Doesnt collect foam consistantly. Price is right.
