Great shots Mario. Nice skimmer too. I have the same one. I have it on a 125 with a 50 gallon fuge. I get about that much skimmate every 3-5 days. The only thing I don't like is that I have to empty that stinking cup all the time

Cheers,

Jim

The bubbles in my RC250 is only in the top half. Is it because the input water is not fast enough?

Place 1" 45's on the pump returns. That should do the trick.

Hello Jim!!!

Very nice toy my friend jejejeje

When you bought your skimmer ??

Because my RC180 have a ball valve instead a gate valve like yours and I know that is a little better the gate valve and also don't have the serial number in the skimmer body I don't know why?.

Cheers my friend!

Mario,

My RC180 is about a year old. I bought it when ER was still testing these pumps. Since then they have sent me out a new pump like the one on your skimmer. They changed over to the ball valves recently, so you have a much newer model. About the serial #, is there one printed anywhere on the skimmer? If not, contact ER. HTH

Jim

Count me in as well. I picked up a CS 12-2 RC this past weekend. Finally got it all plumbed and working as it should be yesterday. Very impressive. Having used a Life Reef VS24 for the past 2 years this is a huge step up for me and my 200 gallon FOWLR.

the skimmer i just got cs80 is creating really huge bubles. not even close to micro. i just set it up to test it and i noticed this. how can i fix this? is the pump defective? i bought it used in these boards from a guy who claism it was 3 months old. i cleaned the inside tube and all of it out and then plugged it in and its not working. could it have been damaged in shipping? hoep this is not serious cause i dont want to spend more money getting it fixed than buyin one brand new

Don't worry, the first skimmer I got I did the same thing and thought something was messed up because it didn't look like the pics everyone else was posting. I think it's a requirement to owning a skimmer

Well here I am finally the Euro reef club Just bought the Euro reef CS 250 wit he dual SP-3's man does this ever kick butt against my good old crappy Beckett rated for 500 gallons this is rated for 250 and what crap its pulling.

I have a question pertaining to the skimmer thou. The water level I know it runs about to the top of the flange where the grey ring is for the flange ok. Now Mine has the gate valve for the reciculating mod on it but with out the recirculating mod if you know what i mean. Should i take the gate valve off or leave it .

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased the CS6-2 plus for my 90g bowfront. This is the first time I have used a skimmer. Should I always have "stuff" in the collection cup? Since emptying it this weekend I haven't had anything in the cup. Does the riser pipe need to be adjusted??

Thanks

Not always if the cup is empty then the skimmer has skimmed what it has. Give it time not always you will have stuff in the skimmer cup . there are days that you will have stuff in there and days you wont.
