I don't think so. You would benefit a lot by putting Hydor flo deflectors on them though.

it depends on flow direction. i would face them in a criss-cross one slightly higher where the current hits each. this will give a forward and sideways motion kinda like the ocean. lol! it works in my 5g with two Tunze 106 they circulate 36-70 gph depending on flow control adjustment. i have them both at full and a bio-filter with 55gph. total of 195gph in a 5g tank and its not that much if you make the flow fight itself. dont do it to low in tank, massive sandstorm.
REEF-ON!!!

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...pc=1&N=0&Nty=1 ...but they sell them at any marine drygood website, I believe. I find them to be low-cost, yet very effective for converting the kind of narrow, strong flow that Maxijet1200s create, which isn't the most desirable kind of flow for a reef. to a more broad and uneven flow. They just simply fo on the output of the MJ. They are a little big, but you can deal with that with good placement in you r tank, and they are effective and reliable, so worth putting them on your MJs.
