You should probably use some sort of activated carbon also. Watch your nitrates with those bi0oballs also.

Depends, how much LR do you have in your tank and how large is the fish load going to be? FOWLR is pretty forgiving

Most suggested rock numbers say 1 to 1.5 lbs per gallon depending on density of the rock. So going by that, you may want to keep the bioballs in the system unless you add more rock.

if you remove the bioballs, do so slowly over a few weeks to allow the bacteria to recover elsewhere

This whole set up is (used) new. So the bio balls still smelled like plastic when i put them in. Should i buy some Cycle to help it cycle or add anything such as macro algae? Thanks

I would just leave things alone for now. With no corals or other livestock, nutirent export is not going to be much of an issue yet. Cycle or other similar products (IMO) are rather dubious items to spend money on. Time is the best thing you have going right now

Ya, I think I agree with you on buying that stuff. I think aquarium nature will take care of it eventually. If i add Base rock (not live) Do i have to worry about any of my "levels" going berzerk?

Just rinse the rock clean of any dirt or debris, as there is nothing live on it, there should be no effect on tank chemistry to speak of
