Seio 620 Or Ac 70 Powerhead
I have a 180 gallon tank with lots of Live rock. I have 1 802 powerhead and want to get another Powerhead.
Which one is better? The Seio 620 or The AC70 Formerly 802? |

Um, sorry, but I have to disagree with you guys (except the nose-picker). The AC70 will make more flow than a 620. The 802, as it was once called, does 400gph (20watts) compared to the SEIOs 620...but the velocity/pressure that the 802 makes results in much more water movement. SEIOs have large nozzles, and when you break down their flow with respect to the size of the outlet, the velocity that the water flows is lower. The smaller outlet of the 802 creates a more concentrated jet that creates a draft, or eduction around the nozzle which creates that much more flow. Its not always the volume of water from the pump, but how its applied as it exits. The 802 is a monster compared to the 620. Now, if you were asking about the SEIO 1100 or 1500...ok, then the SEIO makes more flow. The distance that a 1500 can throw water is about 6'. The 620 is barely 3'. The 802 will move water about 5'.
