ZOOS have been closed for weeks

Over the last few weeks I have made a more concerted efforts --after years of running--to finally learn and address the ph ca and dkh levels in my tank--everything--I am happy to report--appears to be working coming along fine--absent two things--1) a notably depletion in the effluent from my protien skimmer--this could coinspond with my additiona of chem filtration--and 2) my Zoos have closed--they look fine, just closed like a fist--any word of wisdom to get them open?

Let them acclimate to the new water status, you have made a lot of changes in many time, so keep the levels in your tank and let them recover.
