Low PH w/ CO2 Reactor & Geo Kalk Reactor
I need some help. I have a 72G Bow Front Reef tank that I recently installed a CO2 Reactor to and GEO Kalk Reactor. Before adding them I was dosing with EVS 2-Part each morning. Needless to say I got sick of dosing each day and decided to invest in a CO2 Reactor and Kalk Reactor. I first hooked up the CO2 Reactor and of course my tank PH took a dip. In the morning my PH is 7.8 and may get to 8.1 during the day. I then added the Kalk Reactor in hope to get the PH up. This was not the case I still have a PH reading of 7.8 in the morning and again maybe 8.1 during the day. I have the Kalk reactor configured to work as my top-off system as recommended in the Geo instructions. My effluent PH is 6.5/6.6 and my drip rate is a fast drip (about half the amount you get out of a RO/DI unit). My Ca levels are steady at 420 and dKH is 10. I would like to keep these levels if possible. I have both units setup in my garage and are being feed into the house (Tank is on the back side of the wall in the picture) and dripping into the sump.
Any tips or suggestions anyone has would be appreciated. |
