hazie water?
i was trying to do a search for a couple time in the past week or two but seem that function is off.
well i am not new but i guess i am i used to have 2 tanks running at one time about 6 year ago , a 55 gal and 65 gal , one i had an eel in it the grow the just over the lenth of the tank hand feeding with a probe or hand. was very cool. i just in the last month or two i have setup a new tank with new equit. 75 gal Emperor BIO-Wheel Powerfilters 400 chiem pro and zorb in emperor skilter 400 corallife 65 skimmer 10 gal above tank ref. tank hasbeen running for like 2 months i have like "6 hermit , 5 zebra snails,1 scooter,1 yellow tang,2 yellow tail dem,1 cleaner shrimp" and the water alwas seem to look hazie or foggy, and would what some of you can tell me how to fit this. thats my first question and i have a second one. my yellow tang will not leave my shrip only he/she has already ate his wisker down most the way is that normal? shoul i feed the tang more to stop or cut it down? i dont think the tang and shrimp are best of pals right now hehhehe. help on any of these would be great thanks. |

I would try running carbon and see if the water clears up. If not then maybe an UV sterilizer.
About the shrimp. My Tang treats my skunks good....doesnt bother each other. But when molding time comes around, the shrims whiskers are usually cut down in size.... I have never thought about why this happens. Hope this helps [link removed]

I second the carbon. It can't hurt. But remember to change it out so it doesn't create more problems.
Also, think about your feeding habits. Sounds like you might be used to large hand feedings. Maybe you could try cutting back a bit? |
