T5 lights and anemone?

Hi, I have 4 36inch T5 lights, is that enough light for an anemone to live? Each bulb is 39watts and I have a 50gallon tank with a refugium,Thanks. I am not sure which anemone if any I could keep under this lighting. Thanks

I don't think it's enough. A Bubble tip (bta) can get buy on less than MH lighting, but it still requires a significant amount of light. I keep one under 630 watts vho on a 75G. Post the question on the Clownfis/Anenome forum, and someone you might be able to give a specific answer as to how much t5 lighting is required, if you are unable to find out here.

You could keep a BTA under that setup. Do you have the individual reflectors?

i think you can keep them under your t5 setup.. just keep the bta close to the top, it'll move around as necessary, but seems like enough if have individual reflectors..

This GBTA lives under 4 x 54w T5 in a 55g. I don't even have individual reflectors.

I think a lot of people downplay the output of T5s for some reason. For the first couple months this anemone actually hid from the lights. Even now it's only half exposed.
