Good! I have several baby snails in my tank. Give it a little while and you'll start to see these little snails all over your tank. It won't be a snail explosion, but you should see several in time.

Depends on what kind of fish you have. Mine won't eat snail eggs. Takes about 2 weeks for a hatch. They'll be very tiny, and will want a little nearby algae early on.

My cerith snails have laid eggs all over the tank about four or five times over the last few months. In fact they laid another small batch last night. I haven't seen any baby snails yet, but I'm hoping. And at the very least the eggs should provide some additional food for the fishies.

My store bought snails all lay eggs, but the only ones that actually seem to reproduce successfully in my tank are the little hitchhiker nerites. They are nocturnal, so sometimes after a population explosion I'll notice that there are tons of them everywhere about an hour or so after the lights are turned off.

Sorry, to late to edit what I said ^. I meant Collonista snails, not nerites.

Mine turned out to be little strombus grazers, relative of the conches, about a third of an inch long when grown.
