New Tank PH=7.80 ..why?

I just set up a new reef tank It is just starting to cycle. All new sand and all new rock (not live)...I bought Coralife Reef Bones rock...anyhow...I have a pinpoint PH monitor and probe and calibrated it,etc. It shows my PH to be at 7.80. Is this normal for a brand new tank?...sg is 1.024...tmp 78..is there something wrong ??

Thanks!
ReefRock
