Foster and smith dot com sell some submersible fluorescents but they only sell blue. It is possible that white lamps would be available as a special order.

The only submersible i can find at Foster & smith are pond lights. i remember a submersible aquarium light they used to have but i dont see it now.

i have been thru 2 sets of pond lights. i dont think they can handle the saltwater.

i have found some ocean & dock lights buts the are from $550 to $600 each and are high wattage. the pond is only 6 feet by 4 feet & 3 feet deep. i dont need lighting for 1000 meters.......

any other suggestions are appreciated. i will try to get some pictures......

also the pond is open & my black durgeon has jumped out once but was saved. that is another issue i am going to have to deal with......

any suggestion? netting or what?

I ordered the floresant fixture & also some Hi-Lite Aquarium system LED lights from Petsmart.

Foster & smith was very helpful they told me pond lites will not work in salt water.

lucky i didnt fry my fish with voltage. i should have researched it instead of believing the store owner......dumb.

damn sounds sweet some pics def. well the reason I asked wether inside or out. if its inside you could make some kind of hanging rack over it and mount lights that way. might not be the openness that you are looking for but it would work. if you got a couple of 400W MH that I think would do the trick even if you hung them higher then recommended.

also don't you think that all the sunlight coming in will glow lots of algae in there?
