I like Gen-X pumps. Quiet, efficient and powerful. $20 is a steal.

Drsfostersmith still sells them and so do a bunch of other online vendors... and for 20 bucks...that is a deal...so I will have to deal if it breaks.

parts for any pump will be >$20, and I don't see why it should break if it's not already broken. Most of the external pumps that are good for saltwater in the first place, have pretty good longevity.

Thats what I am saying, if it lasts me 3 years, then 20 bucks was well spent...

if it lasts a year it's $20 well spent! A mag 12 costs like $90+, so surely this is a fine deal IMO.

for sure. i just wanted to point out that although some retailers still seel them/possibly parts, that the actual company doesnt exist to help you out/replacements/whatever. but, like you said, for $20, i say go for it!

No I was just saying that people still sell them, so there must be some sort of decent supply out there and possibly parts. No this one is used and local, sorry for the confusion.

I think he was saying that Dr. Fosters and others still sell parts, but that buying the $20 pump elsewhere (probably from a generous friend!) is a fine deal.
