58gal ocean light halide lighting

i am doing a ocean light fixture which one would be better a 24in single 250watt halide with 2 t5 lights or a 36in 2x250 halides with t5 lights i want mostly sps corals

Assuming you have the 36" tank length. If you have the funds go with the 36in and 2 halides. You can always use it for when you upgrade to alarger tank but the 24" will not go beyond the 36" tank length.

I concur on that, plus you can do acros in any part of the tank
