IMO the best would be what is best for your needs. Could you tell us what you intend to keep?

MY LIST OF WHAT I INTEND TO KEEP

2 niger triggers
1 humu humu
1 lionfish
1 bamboo shark

I will also have inverts such as hermit crabs and seastars (my triggers are incredibly nice to other fish and inverts for an unknown reason).

Also lots of live rock and live sand.

about 200-250 lbs of premium live rock
refugium with a DSB and chaeto that is on an alternating light cycle
a protein skimmer like ASM G4 or G4x or any skimmer rated for at least your system if not double the system
i really like overskimming
a chemcal filtrant which you can just drop in the sump like carbon such as chemi pure or a "Polyfilter"(the brand name)
weekly water changes are essential
drill the tank and get a 55 gallon sump this will be awesome
for filtration you should have mechanical, chemical, and biological
fight dirtiness on all fronts
dont overfeed and dont overstock

i have a 175 and use a amiracle 400 wet dry and a aquac urchin pro skimmer, that works great a lot of people say to change the bio balls with live rock but my water is perfect and the rates are less than 20.

Don't use a SeaClown, they are the worst skimmer made. Also, do not use an undergravel filter. Start off right with a Sump and a great skimmer (maybe a Euroreef or an Aqua C). Also consider a refugium. The refugium was the best addition to my tank.
