Question Should i get it?

I went to a new LFS today and saw two coolest things: anemone crab and comensal shrimp (comensal right? i don't remember). Are they reef safe? I like the anemone crab more and would like to purchase it. It was on a green carpet at the store. Would it be OK with my BTA? In a book that i read, it says that these crabs are harmless filter feeders but i didn't want to buy it before i get some advices first.

Thanks

Nem crabs are safe. It's cool to watch them throw up their filter comb to trap particles flowing by.

BTW. would this crab be OK with a BTA? It was on a carpet anem at the store

Actually, it is usually the other way around. If the clownfish do end up in the BTA, they may kill the crab. They are quite weak and fragile--unable to do too much to defend themselves (which is why they associate with anemones). Also be aware that they can be a challenge to feed sometimes.

Aw darn. Is there a possibility of clownfish and anem. crab sharing a bta? At the store, there was 1 anem crab and 1 perc clown hosting a green carpet. They weren't fighting at all (at least when i was looking at them).
