Help! My sump is leaking!

I have an Oceanic 120 with a Trickle Filter 150, and my sump has cracked! The tank is about 10 years old, and a couple of years ago I discovered that my external pump was not sitting on the base of the stand, and had caused the face of the sump to crack. I patched the crack, and it did fine until now.

I want to keep everything in the sump, and would like to just replace the sump itself. I am think I could measure the existing sump and but an empty tank to match, then get a submersible pump to put down in the system for water return, but I'm very nervous about this. I'm no plumbing expert, and I don't want to flood my house.

Any help would be appreciated!

A basic sump/refugium requires very little plumbing and I'm sure that you can handle doing it yourself. Look at this as a chance to improve your set-up! A simple 20 gallon long tank will work nicely. Just run the over-flow lines into one end and place the return pump in the other. An E-heim 1260 will work nicely as a return pump. You can do some basic upgrades by putting some filter socks over the returns to remove debris and put activated carbon in them to help with water quality. If you're feeling ambitious then you can glue some sheets of glass or lexan into the aquarium with some silicon glue to form a refugium.
