10lbs of base rock
10 lbs of live rock

>or 20 lbs of live rock

20lbs of live sand or the 10 live and 10 south down
power heads at least 2 in my opinion>
i love microjets or maxis are fine.

lighting is up to you unless you want corals.

aqua clear hob filters are fine for filters (can make fuges out of them.

heater 50 - 100 watt.

hydrometer ( pref refractometer )

50gal salt mix ( enough left over for 2 gallon water change weekly)

and six weeks of your paitience

I say for a newbie, buy a nano package...figure out if you like the hobby or not and get a bigger one later........and you will
