I dont think any Phosphate test will read as high as the reading from that tank.

when I did get a phos test it came out like ink. Took me weeks of changing water to get it down.

For some weird reason my tank never had any type of algae growth during or after the cycleing phase.

I had a horrible HA problem, the kind that can drive a person out of this hobby for good. I was doing everying I could to get rid of it and it still wasn't going away. I finally got a HOB refugium and placed a large ball of cheato in there. Then I finally saw the HA starting to reside... My tank looks much better now and I am enjoying it again. I never took pics of it because it would have just made me mad to see it like that...

I started to get a little hair algae a little while ago until I made a 20gallon fuge just for chaeto, since then it has been under control.

I have minimal amount of hair algae growing close to the intake of my powerhead on the live rock. The greyish brown stuff...any advice?

My tank was once 99% HAIR ALGAE.
I used PO4 removers, less feeding and some water changes and employed a few snails.
Worked for me

it is probaly because your powerhead is not pushing water over that area.
