Please help!! Emergency, water in tank low!!! need advice on new installed membrane

hI

I just installed a new membrane in my ro/di, it is the same membrane that I took out, I am running it and no water is coming out of the waste water line and some is coming out of the good water line but does not seem right!!

Does the new membrane take time to adjust or something????

Thanks

Dean

This is my first membrane change as well. I went back and researched.... I found out according to the directions for KENT, you are supposed to flush the membrane for 12 hours prior to use. It is accomplished by shutting off you storage tank valve and opening up the bar faucet, providing you have these... But you are not alone. For days I was wondering why I was not getting normal productivity. I junst found this out a few minutes ago....... Hopefully that will take care of the problem for both of us. I have problem solved all other possibilities..

I would leave the faucet open. Its been a few years and I vaguely remeber having to leave it open overnight.... It i smy last effort at troubleshooting, but again, I believe it is the problem.

the water is only coming out of the good water line and not the waste water line, I know the unit is set up right so it is something to do with the membrane!!

OK I just remembered some things I read... One of the things that may be happening is that your membrane is not seated properly or an o ring is out of place... If either of these are wrong, the water will bypass the membrane and you aill get alot of water coming out... Different problem than what Ive got.
