Mine is a RD BK 2000 - I think that number is the LPH. So yours is 250LPH more than mine, but the skimmer is much bigger. I saw Chucks in person. The 400 is MASSIVE!

I never knew Klaus' number was on there, I wonder if they know the Prince Albert in a can, or Is your refrigerator running - phone pranks.

BTW - the aquarium is acrylic. Putting him in a USC shirt was the Mrs idea. She's a punk, too. The kid is "Miguel".

OK I need sleep now. ;-)

From what somone told me my pump has the wrong lable on it and should be a 2500 like Travis's... So I should be pushing 500LPH more I would like to look into this more to make sure that I do have the right pump, but I am not sure how...

I think personally that the 400 should have the 2500. Pix of the 300's look more dense than pix of the 400. I'm sure the 2250 is MORE than fine, but I'm sure it can handle a 2500. The water volume of the 400 vs 300 has to be more than 12.5% - although I'm sure this is much more complicated than a linear equation like that.

I completely agree with that statement. Even with my nozzle removed on my RD, the body of the BK does not look as dense with bubbles as the 250's or 300's that I have seen pics of.

I have been wanting to weight my BK400 for sometime now...

Cup only :

Rest of the BK400 without the cup :

Total BK400 :

The total seems to be a little off but then again the full skimmer would not fit on the scale...

Bad picture. The angle makes the empty part look bigger than it is. Works fine. Hardly ever pay attention to it.

Chuck, where did you get the tubing to extend the drain tube line? And what size tubing is it?

It's 1/2" vinyl tubing....the connector is some random piece I found at the hardware store that is 1/4" barb on one side and I dunno what size mpt on the other--it jams into 1/2" vinyl nicely though....
