Hello everybody,
There is a nice deal at my LFS for euro reef skimmer I really don`t know what to choose for my 90 gallon reef For the same price I can get a euro reef CS6-3 ( with sedra 5000) or CS100 (with sedra 3500) Fot 80$ more, I can get a CS135 ( rated for 135 galon tank) I will be replacing my Superskimmer 3004 with it, so i don`t want to be deceived?? Thx

Euro reefs are not over rated so you don't have to worry about say buying a skimmer rated for 200 gallons when you only have a 90. I wound up buying a ES5 for my 75 gallon. any of them will be good skimmers. Do the gate valve mod on them too, this makes it super easy to dial in. cheers

I know that they are not over rated
So the decision need to be made between cs6-3 and cs100. Apparently the neck is better with the cs100, But I heard bad comment on sedra 3500 used on asm skimmer

I have two ES-6's
I have two euro-reef es-6 and they both use the sedra 3500. one of my pumps pulls more air than the other. But, it really does not make that big of a difference on performance, both skimmers work great. I am currently trying the pacific coast import 2000, happy with the skimmer, but I eventually think I will go back to using the es-6 with, the sedra 3500, I just seems to pull out more skimmate on a consistent basis!!!!
I give a thumbs up on the ES-6, with the sedra 3500 !!! check out H2Otropicals.com for Blems, only around 150 dollars for the skimmer, if they have them!!! ![]() |
