Keep the same species of DA's together..

Hey peeps

Just wondering if you can keep the same type of dwarf angels together successfully. I know people keep different types together and they do fine, but can you keep the same type like 2 bicolor or 2 flamebacks?

For the first and probably last time i got to use the search engine and found a couple of thread were people were keeping flame agels and one with a pair of flameback but nothing much else?

Any thought, would they pair up?

Cheers
Dan

IT is possible, how big is your tank? i'd say two of the same species wont work unless they are true pairs, or if they have similar coloration. why not keep one bicolor and one flameback?

I only have a 16 gallon so i can't keep any DA's but i'm upgrading to a 23 long so was hoping to keep a single flameback.

I will upgrade larger probably to something like 70 gallons in a few years and wanted to keep a pair of DA's as i wouldn't be able to keep any tangs

You reckon one flameback will do okay in a 23long? (30"x12"x15")

You might be able to fit a small centropyge argi , they look similar to the flame back and are less aggresive IME. but make sure you add it last.

The cherub is pretty sweet, i might try one of those then

Don't really like the court jester but i bet pictures don't do them any justice, i like peacock wrasses but they get to big and sixlines are too active for a 23?

THe only problem i have with 6lines is that they are aggresive to new comers and seem to enjoy intimidating smaller fish.
