Cleaner shrimp missing an eye
I've had this cleaner shrimp for about 8 months and just yesterday I noticed that it was missing an eye. I was wondering if it's eye could grow back, or if it's a cyclops forever. And were did the eye go anyways? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah the whiskers do grow back because one of my crabs clawed his whiskers one day after he molted, he's good as new.

Most anything that happens will be repaired in molt.

I doubt that molting would restore an eye ... never seen any thread that supports that belief and it doesnt make sense based on my knowledge of molting.
Cleaner shrimp don't live that long .. 3 yrs is pretty good in most tanks so maybe your shrimps on the tail end of his life cycle? .. not sure. |
