multiple tangs

I currently have a 90g and would like to keep some baby tangs. I read somewhere that if I wanted multiple tangs, I should get at least three so they would feel like a school instead of fighting with each other all the time. Is this true? Can I just get two tangs or do I need at least 3 or more?

Thanks.

I have had a yellow and a hippo tang in my 58 gallon for nearly 2.5 years now with no problem. they still school together as well.

i would limit it to two, one would be better and i would limit it to kole or yellow/or scopas tang.. maybe even a convict or whitecheek tang.

I would really consider upgrading. My friend has done the same for the last two years and the fish are way to big for that size of a tank.

my yellow tang is about 3-3.5" and the blue tang is 3.5-4". I feed very lightly and havn't had any problems with disease outbreak. I know there may come a day when I have to move them to another tank but they have been in there longer than I expected them to be already.
