What kind of hitchhiking snail?

I've never had snails before and this snail is not pictured in Melevsreef.com/id

As the title says hes a hitch hiker, came on the rock my new green star polyps came on.

My digital camera isnt good enough to get a picture of this tiny guy. Hes about 2 cms wide. Hes got a milky white shell with some light brown lines and some light brown splotches. The lines go side to side not front to back.

Most of all is he reef safe?

Without a picture, I don't think we can do anything. Even with one, identifying snails can be hard for anyone but an expert. That size sounds larger than the Collonista spp with which I'm familiar, but that's not saying much.

Hmm really? The link Angel gave said that the largest that particular person had ever seen was 1/4" which is pretty close to the size of this one?

But either way does it sound like something that could be harmful...basically I'm asking if hes something I should be remioving while hes in the open.
