But, we do not know that it was the products fault. It could very likely have gotten saltwater in it, which caused the problem.

Take a hairdryer, sure it is generally used in a bathroom, but get it wet, and guess what, it is going to fail, good chance it will catch fire as well.

OK I finally got a hold of Aquarium Systems Inc after they were ignoring me for a few months. They are going to send me 2 buckets of reef crystal salt and 4 MJ 1200 power heads. I don't now anything about that salt but I heard it is good.

I just received the same wave maker from DRSF&S with 3 MJ1200, guess I've to watch out for water splash just in case that was the cause.

Regardless of the powerstrip, you need to make sure it will not get water splashed on it.
