Anyone using these?
http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewIt...product=TZ1383
I noticed that the TOTM was using these, and I was wondering what you think. I have a 65 gallon, and I was wondering if this along with my 400 gallon return would be enough for a mxed reef. Also, why are these so expensive?? |

I just bought one of these and am waiting for it to be delivered. That should be fine, but you might want two since your 65 probably has a plastic brace in the middle the prohibits you from centering one light over the tank. 400gph is a little low for a 65 unless you have some power heads to add to the in tank flow.

O, Im new at this so take it with a grain of salt but standard wisdom is 10X the tank size in flow in your tank and 3-5x in your sump. If you're doing SPS then the tank flow is 20x. With 2 of these you will be kicking out 2400 gph total, which is 37x your tank size.
