Cool

Tarpon and barracuda turn up every now and then and we all know very few can house those fish as adults.

clown tangs... powder blue tangs (don't transport well), big groupers, sharks/skates of any type, octopus of any type.

A lot depends on your setup... improper conditions lead to problems with anything. I have several crabs, sometimes a fish gets a notched fin, but my tank is well fed and I don't stress on it. I also have a mandarine who was half dead when I got him, now he's fat and happy. But many people have issues with crabs, or mandarines. If you had a 20,000 gal tank, you could keep sharks.

In my experience, they're terrors. I had one that grew big fast. Had to be removed from the tank. Maybe they do better in larger tanks.
