lighting question

i just purchased a canopy today and in the process of getting it here i busted one of the four bulbs they are vho's running into a icecap model 660-009 110 watts each and when i got home i tried to plug it in and the icecap was sparking and only the bottom 2 bulbs lit up then went off i was wondering what the deal is, do i need to replace the other bulb before it will work or what do i need to do????????? please help!!!!!!!!!

You might need to replace the bulb before its pair will run. The other two perhaps should be working, but I'd replace the bulb and work from there.

Yes, that is normal. In order for the icecap to fire up the bulbs it has to be wired accordingly for a 3 bulb configuration.
