Level Tank

I know I said no more setup questions, but before I break something and kill a bunch of stuff: How level does a tank need to be? I have an acrylic 25 gallon resting on a custom built stand topped with 3/4" plywood. The thing is rock solid, but left to right it is about a 1/4" off. Also, should I have put anything between the tank and the wood? The plywood is fully supported, and can't possibly warp. Is everything okay?

Level the stand and not the tank. Acrylic is designed to flex to a certain point but can and will crack.
