What ate my Zoos?

I bought my first Zoanthids last weekend and all seemed fine untill I come home today and found almost the entire frag eaten. Can anyone tell me what may have done this?

I currently have:

2 False Percs
1 Lawnmower Blenny
1 Yellow Tang
1 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
2 Peppermint Shrimp
1 Turbo Snail
10 Astrea Snails
4 Nassarius Snails
2 XL Nassarius Snails
4 Blue Leg Hermits

I feed once a day so I would not think that something is having to look for food any more that it ever has.

Any Ideas?

Thanks
Steve

There are a few things that could eat your zoos that you may not see, including a type of snail, spiders, etc..... One other thing, is it possible that your clowns may be cleaning a spot to lay eggs?

Don't know if these are your problem, but you might get out the magnifying glass and look around your zoanthids for some of these little critters. It's a nudi that eats zoanthids. They are pretty small, but it you look close, you can see them - if they are in your tank. I pulled about a dozen of them off of a colony of zoos that I brought home recently. Don't know if they laid eggs or not. I am keeping a close watch out for them. Some people recommend fresh water dips to get rid of these. I didn't do it to mine though. I sucked them out with a turkey baster and threw them in a jar of fresh water.

Last time I was at my LFS the guy was cleaning off each zoo of checkerbox snails. They were about the size of the tip of a pencil, and were eating all his zoos. Good luck finding the culprit.

If none of the above seem to be the answer, I came home once to my Peppermint Shrimp munching on my Frog Spawn...luckily it was in time, and the frog spawn has made a full recovery, but nothing I ever read led me to believe a Peppermint would go to work on that Frog Spawn (ps: Its not a camelback). Good luck, sorry to hear about the loss
