too much light???

i have a 250watt metal halide on my 30cube about 12" above it. too much lightn?? mushrooms seemed to die everythni else does good till about 7 hrs of use??? then close.. anyone help???

in my honest opinion i think it's overkill, you should be fine with just a 150,watter. that 250 is too much heat for a little 30 cube, hope this help's...
