Lightbulb Anyone use Sea Swirls

I cant do a closed loop because It was not drilled for it. But what about running a second pump in my sump up to 2 sea swirls? It would give me more circ. in the tank and I would have a back up in case one of the pumps went out

Just make sure you get sea swirls to match the pumps. You wouldn't want to hook up a larger eheim or the like to the smaller 1/2" swirl. I used a 1" sea swirl (which does 1150 gph) on my older 55 gal. with a Mag 9 and loved the flow I got with it.

You could also look into a non-drilled closed loop, like the one on Melev's site http://www.melevsreef.com/.

I use one [illegally] mounted on the wall of a wedge-tank downflow---i.e., the manufacturer takes no responsibility. It works like a charm.
