shelf life
Does mixed salt water have a shelf life? If aerated again can it be used after several weeks ?

if you let sit too long without aereation then there will be a Ph drop....if the Ph drops too far you will lose most your Ca and other elements that make water changes usefull. So as long as you don't let the Ph drop too low you will be fine.
IME several weeks without areation is far too long, your Ph will drop and percipitate. Just leave a powerhead or two and you shoudl be fine, does not take much. But you know if there is a thick white film on the walls/pumps/bottom you have gone to a point of no return. IME you can have this happen even with the pumps if the container is closed and there is no air flow.
