They are manufactured in China. Pacific Coast Imports is the official US Importer. They sell them under the PCI name. They also sell them to distributors who can give them other names like Octopus and CoralVue. I know this for a fact because I contacted them about importing. I was told that PCI was the US importer and I'd have to buy from them.

There are actually two importers: Pacific Coast Imports and CoralVue. They both bring in the same skimmers, PCI just charges more for theirs.

I believe you Rob. I was told that by a guy from the manufacturer. He said they already had an importer and I could contact them about being a distributor. I just assumed it was PCI only.

CoralVue was the correct name and product. Nw-200, nw150, Down Draft skimmers, shredder....
The "Octopus" brands that are imported with PCI are completely different Product line and company. They do the 2000 3000 recirc skimmer.... Their seems to be a lot of confusion when it comes to these "Octopus" skimmers. Their are 2 different manufactures of skimmer that use the name octopus. It is further confused with the fact that they came out in the same time period.

All I know is what the actual manufacturer in China told me. I was going to import a container of these things. Maybe it's a language barrier. Also, octopusskimmer.com is marinesolutionsinc.com They are the same company. daytonreefRob knows what he is talking about. PM him and maybe he'll 'splain it.

Ahh, maybe there are two manufacturers and I only spoke with one. Roland, it's all making sense now.

I may be wrong here, but I know that with mine (labeled as a PS-3000) it comes with an OTP 3000(750gph). All the coralvue ones I've seen are 500gphish pumps.
Is coralvue using the Resun pumps or something?

I'm going to do some cleaning today or tomorrow and I'll see which pump is on mine. I got mine from marinesolutionsinc.com My pump looks like an Ocean Runner.
