White paste film on coral
Help! I have a white pasting looking film on a pc of zoanthus colony polyp. Does anyone know what this is?

yeah, if it is kind of slimy than it is a type of slime that many corals produce when they are stressed. I wouldn't worry about it for other corals but for zoanthus their might be a problem. The zoas do the same thing than all of the other coral but produce it containing a very toxic substance do a little research but if your tank is pretty healthy and nothing isn't out of place i wouldn't worry about it. If it is a new addition than it will take a little time. you can clean up the slime by putting it in a seperate container of the water it was in previously and carefully shake it to get rid of the slime, and then put it back and seew what happens. i wouldn't worry about it though.
