ASMG2 not working to full potential I dont think?
hey you guys, I have had this ASMG2 on my 75gallon for a while, it pulls out crap, but only fills a bit of the collection cup every few days... about 1/8 to 1/4 of the collection cup every few days.
I just dont think its working to its full potential... Its in a Tidepool 1 sump.. yeah, Its CROWDED! I try and keep the water level constand VIA KALK drip... it stays about 6 to 7 inches deep. I know I have a nutrient problem because I have dino's so whats up?

sounds as if your having a pretty dry skim. i know my css 65 collects really dark stuff in a couple days only 1/4 filled when im dry skimming. try raising the output pipe to raise water level in the skimmer. i THINK that should help

That would be wet skimming, wouldnt the ammount collected after 4 days be roughly the same ammount of "crap" collected if I was dry skimming after a week?
how would wet skimming help?

well wet skimming just takes out more water which means water level is higher.
