I have same problem with mine and I found out that it was my RO filter need to be changed. Check your water quality for TDS?

I don't recall any slime algae after I added my calcium reactor but that is just me.
With that said, sometimes any change in our tanks can cause algae or bacterial outbreaks. If you increased the amount of calcium in your tank too quickly, that could possibly cause your problems or even the media that you are using in your reactor could be causing it. If the media contains a nutrient that was already in your tank in abundance, it could cause it too. Normally, at least when I installed my calcium reactor, my alk and my ph were goofy until they finally settled down after a couple weeks.

the reason i think it is related to cal reactor is because the color seems the same as the stuff that grows on plumbing for reactor.i use ARM media.my ro di water tests at 2 tds at worse.the tank has been up and running 6 months and all animals were transfered from a 125 gal reef that was stable for 6 years.it is not overtaking the tank or anything but i have become kinda anal with my reefs these last few years.i am thinking improve skimming if possible, increase random flow and add clean up crew.any other suggestions apreciated
