Red slime ?? again

Hello all,
I am sure you have seen this question about 1,000 times, but here goes again for me. I have had a red slime aglae problme in my tank for about a minth now. I have done weekly water changes and only thing that is up is my nitrates(about 40). But I keep getting the red slime on some rocks and some sand. It does not seem to bother the corals, they look great, but asthetically it looks bad. I am guessing it is cyano...? Something, I have read about it before. SO... how do I get rid of the darn stuff? Chemicals, more h2o changes, what? Thank you for your reply in advance.
