Are raccoon Butterfly fish hard to feed

Wat do raccoon butterfly fish like to eat????

they arnt that hard to feed. At work ours eat pretty much whatever you put into the tank. Krill, Nori, Mysis, Brine.

When I first got mine it wouldnt eat. Try your regular foods first. If he wont eat, go to your grocer and pick up some fresh mussels. Bring em home and freeze them first. Then take out and crack open the shell and drop it in the tank. After 3 days of mine not eating he went right for the mussels. He soon graduated to what everyone else eats. Good luck they are beautiful fish

a lot of people i kno had to target feed and if that didnt work they moved him to a small QT tank (small as in 20 gal) and from there waited until he startedeating until he was moved into the big tank

shoudl i cut the mussel up first, or shoudl i take it out of the shell and jsut throw it in?

I took the meat out and diced it but someone else told me just to half the shell and throw the whole thing in. I think either way will be fine.

yeah fresh meats with the smell helps alot.
