On one piece of lr i have a couple little "tubes." Every time i feed they send out a thin strand of what ill call mucus that i assumed they use to catch food. I jut now confirmed that they are something caues i saw some cyclopeeze get caught on one and then watched itg be reeled in.
so what are they? |

Vermetid Snails. harmless filter feeders. they will get all over the rocks, and sometimes the mucus strand they release or the tube itself will bother a coral. if that happens just remove the snail.

i have always wondered what they were didnt seem to bother anything
but i asked my LFS to make sure and they said they were harmeless very cool to watch sometimes |
