Spitting?

im drawing a blank here...my sebae anenome (sold as a bulb but def. not) ate a whole silverside today and almost half (the one inteaded for my starfish) and he spit both pieces out...im not sure if he is just full or if he is rejecting it...but my worm(drawing a blank with the name...refered a a centipede in the tank anyhow) is going after it so should i take it out or leave it in...ive left food in there before with no side effects but a nasty fishy smell is coming off i think something may have died behind or in the rocks that i cant see

The anemone probably doesn't like silversides, at least yet. I would remove the food, but the tank's filtration might be able to handle the load.

I've had a couple of anenomes and some would take food and some wont. if it doesnt want to eat it, dont force it. I have kept several for years and never fed but they did like the light. Most like light. What kind and how much light do you have over the 40?

Leaving large chunks of uneaten food in your tank is only going to drive up wastes that bad algae feed on and cause problems. I have never seen anyone under feed a tank. Usually people add too much food. I understand the differnece between fish and not but a good rule of thumb is if it isnt eaten in 5 minutes then its too much. Since its spitting it out i would say that its too much then.

i kno its not enough so please dont bombard me with the critisism...i have about 1 watt per gallon for now...looking for an upgrade now for a 250 Watt PC system...MH is too expensive for my wallet right now...the anenome on the other hand seems to be doing fine w/o the light...ancored himself in a crevis under a large rock and is starting to get color back from when i first got him...eats fine and hasnt moved around since the day i brought him home so im guessing hez either dying or not happy...he probably isnt too hungry since i have 2 clowns hosting him already...its been about 5-6 days
