3x250watt MH lights on tank 30" tall?
i am trying to decide between a 125g and a 150g. the one thing i like about the 150g over the 125g is the taller it is, the more dramatic looking the tank is, IMO. but i am wondering if 3x250watt MH lights would be enough light for corals. i would keep SPS in the upper half, and LPS and a few softies in the lower.

That would be plenty of light for the 150g.

People seem to think that adding height to a tank means you can't keep high light corals under the same lights. YOU CAN. Just think of the top 24" as exactly the same as a 125. Those bottom 4-5" are the only difference.
LPS and such down the bottom will be fine.
