Flow in a 40 breeder

OK all, I have just purchased a 40 breeder. It is already drilled with 3 bulkheads installed. In the middle is a 1.5" and then on the sides there are 2 1" returns. I want to do things right from the start, should I consider doing any more drilling? This tank will be SPS, LPS, Clam and Zoos. Most of the LPS types will be brains on the sand.

I have never drilled and done a closed loop or a sump before.

Also any thoughts on a return pump(s) to go with your suggestion?

Thanks.

Mag 7, is what I have on my 40gal breeder. But I do have 2ft of head. I personally would go with the 7.

I have yet to decide how to actually do the overflow yet. I don't know how much of the plumbing that is on there I am going to keep.

I am thinking of using a sump and a closed loop also. How big are your overflows and your returns? I got this already drilled, I am thinking of having a few more holes put in it.
