Swishing LR in FR?

Is it a bad idea to swish LR in freshwater prior to switching vats during curing? Just thought that would be easier than mixing up yet another bucket of SW just to swish but don't want to kill anything.

wait..do you already have it in something filled w/water? and you're going to put it in a new thing of water to cure? if so, why not just use the water in what its already in?

I have it in a 5g bucket. It's been in there almost a week, water is very yucky, so I am going to move it to another 5g bucket with fresh sw, but would like to swish it before I put it in the new bucket to get any debris off it. The switch is basically a 100% water change.

ya...you could still use the nasty water..unless its like mud lol...i have heard of people doing a really quick dip in freshwter...just take it in your hand and move it around really quick in the water...just to shake anything off you know? but get it back in the saltwater in like...no time lol.

It's not a good idea to swish it in freshwater. Pour out as much clear water from the existing bucket into a spare bucket and use that water for the rinse.
