Moving mushrooms

HI There.

How do i take mushrooms off a rock and move them? They have some babys growing under the big ones and i would really like to move them onto a bigger rock. Can i just gently pull them off?

Sorry never done this part before.

Lisa

many ways to do this as i grow only the metallic oranges what i do is use a wooden skewer to remove them to frag, but if they are small i will slice them in fours on the rock while attatched and within a week or two there are 4 more babies in close proximity to the original.

Okay i really don't get it...lol

So to take them off where do i put the skewer in the bottom of them?
And then for the babies literally just slice them in half from the top?

Oh that seems so mean.lol

You could just scrape them off the rock if you must, you could use your nail... or a butterknife or somthing.. The loose mushrooms you could then put netting around and rubberband them ot the rock and w/in a week or so they should be attached..

Shrooms are pretty easy to frag. Just scrape off one (or more) of the larger ones with a knife, razor blade or pretty much anything with an edge. Secure it to a piece of rock rubble with a rubber band, string or whatever works without squeezing it too hard, but yet not too loose so that it might float away.

What I like to do so I don't tear them is scrape off a small part of the rock just under their foot.
I have used a scissors and scissor type toenail clipper for this but now have a bone cutter from Doc Fosters for fragging which works great.
What I like about that method is you can then superglue them with superglue gel to another rock right away because they have some rock still on them so it sticks.
It's also less stress to the shroom.
